Professor Au Ho-nien is the third generation master of the Lingnan School of painting. His works not only integrate the characteristics of both the Eastern and Western cultures, but also the traditional and contemporary artistic style. Professor Au is renowned for his diverse themes in Chinese painting, his high attainment in poetry and calligraphy, as well as a solid foundation in Chinese culture. For many years, he has been actively nurturing artistic talents. At the same time, he advocates the Lingnan School of painting and actively participates in numerous exhibitions throughout China and around the world.

Invited by Dr Chang Chi-yun, the founder of Taiwan’s Chinese Culture University, he took up a position as a professor in the Fine Arts Department of the university. He settled in Taipei to start his art education career and advocate Lingnan School of painting in Taiwan.
