Transcending Space and Time – Early Cinematic Experience of Hong Kong - Hong Kong Film Archive

Following on from the screening programme Transcending Space and Time - Early Cinematic Experience of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Film Archive presents an exhibition of the same title, which opens on March 21 - June 22 2014. With detailed illustration, the exhibition aims to present Hong Kong's early cinema through showcasing documentaries as early as in late 19th century, short films and drama features produced in 1920s to 40s; antique photos and historical relics owned by film pioneers. Using multimedia installations and space manipulation, visitors are guided on a journey of light and shadow to the days of Hong Kong's early moving images.
