Talk: "The Appeal of Posters: An Unspoken Form of Communication" (In association with the exhibition "Vision – Hong Kong International Poster Triennial 2014")

Poster is still an impactful medium in this age of information flooding. Hong Kong graphic designer Mr Choi Kim Hung said: "The poster medium is slowly being replaced by newer media in the future, there will be fewer and fewer people who will design graphic printed work. Actually this is a trend, but I think posters still occupy an important position."

Introduction
Poster art is a nonverbal language with no rules of grammar or usage; it is all about the moment when an idea presented in visual form is received by viewers in a way that brings into contact the mind and emotions of the creator and viewers. Posters have an appeal that is capable of touching minds, inspiring endless imagination and possibilities. The speaker will share his philosophy, experience and thoughts about poster design.
